Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi Academy Trust, comprising of eight schools, six primary schools and two 11 – 16 secondary schools. The Trust is a medium sized family of schools all located within a tight geographic hub within Pontefract. Students are drawn from the local community that includes a mix of different catchment areas.


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Teacher of MFL (Intervention Lead) at The King’s School. The successful candidate will:

 

  • Work with students to bridge the gap from KS2 to KS3.
  • Ensure that the school meets its Ebacc targets and all student have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Work with leaders to develop the schools’ literacy strategy and how MFL can serve as a means to improve literacy for all.
  • Work with leaders to devise bespoke curriculum plans for individual student to support with reading and language development.
  • Secure outstanding outcomes for students through outstanding provision.

 

The successful candidate will secure outstanding outcomes for students through outstanding provision. They will demonstrate high quality teaching to ensure students can make accelerated progress, and uphold the highest standards of learning and achievement for all.

 

This is a permanent, 1 FTE position with an additional TLR2a allowance. A recruitment and retention allowance may be payable for the right candidate.
