Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross-phase Multi Academy Trust compromising of eight schools, six primary schools and two 11 – 16 secondary schools, all located within a tight geographic hub within Pontefract. The Trust HR Business Partner is an exciting new role that sits as part of our Trust central team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of the Trust’s people strategy. The focus of this post is to provide a comprehensive and professional HR service, through different techniques, to our schools by developing effective relationships with Headteachers, senior leadership teams, and Office Managers across the Trust.


The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong knowledge and experience as a HR generalist
  • Be confident in advising and supporting senior leaders on policy and procedure
  • Have experience of managing a variety of casework including disciplinary, grievances, conduct and capability, performance and attendance management, TUPE transfers, restructures and redundancies, employee relations and succession planning.
