Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi Academy Trust, comprising of eight schools, six primary schools and two 11 – 16 secondary schools. The Trust is a medium sized family of schools all located within a tight geographic hub within Pontefract. Students are drawn from the local community that includes a mix of different catchment areas.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Careers Leader to to support our two secondary schools within the Trust – The King's School and Carleton High School. The candidate will provide key information, advice and guidance to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in order to help them make realistic and informed choices about future education, training and work.

 

This post is a 37 hours per week, permanent, term time plus two days contract, equating to 192 working days per annum.

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

 

  • Has a passion for helping students thrive and meet their full potential;
  • Has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students;
  • Can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative;
  • ·Has experience of delivering careers support from Year 7 to 11 with the proven ability to motivate, inspire and empower young peoples’ career choices;
  • Has a working understanding of the full range of career opportunities for students, including apprenticeships, education, employment, training and student financ
